I don't know if you know this about me but I love scarves. They are ranked just behind shoes for my accessory obsessions. I think that from here on out if someone asks me what I want for whatever gift giving occasion, I'm just going to answer with "a scarf!" Scarves don't have to be expensive and honestly...the more the merrier! A new scarf opens up so many different outfit options. Even for a holiday like Valentine's Day I think a scare would be perfectly acceptable--in pink or red just to stay with the V-day theme!

Okay, this might be more of a wish list than a gift guide unless there are some fellas out there actually reading this. Valentine's Day is this Friday and there are just a few things that I have come across that I think would make great gifts for the ladies this Valentine's Day (a.k.a. I just want this stuff!) I am welcoming February with open arms this year. Usually I can be a little bitter until all that Valentine's Day candy goes on super sale on the 15th. Regardless of whether or not I have a Valentine this year I have decided to have nothing but a positive attitude. I am dubbing February as Treat Yo'self Month. I fully intend on indulging in a little fun. I love everything associated with this month: hearts, love, flowers, and the color pink. It can be such a lovely month...regardless of how cold and snowy it is likely to be!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to all of the lovely ladies (and gentlemen?) reading this blog. I hope that you make the most of today, and show a little extra love for yourself and everyone around you! I myself do not really have any plans except curling up with a few of my favorite movie actors and spending some time with my girls. Saturday night is when we're going to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert. We didn't feel like wrestling couples for reservations tonight.

The Single Gal's V-Day: Indulge in Yourself

Good day!

Actually...it's a very busy, stressful day. But the weather is nice so I can't complain to much. Once I get passed my oral exam in Italian I think I will be a lot happier. In fact, I may treat myself to a movie tonight.

Anyway, today's idea to make happier the single gal's Valentine's Day is to indulge in yourself. Sure, most people spend the day showing even more love for their significant other, but why not show some extra love to yourself?! Leave work a little early, skip that class that you know not much is happening in, go to the spa, have a movie marathon, buy that dress you've been pining for, be lazy! You deserve it ;)

Valentine's Week

Howdy, everybody!

So I was completely M.I.A. this weekend (no TGIF Pins!) Sorry about that. Friday was surprisingly stressful even though I only had a total of two classes. My ability to completely choke on a language test has come back to haunt me. I have also had the unsavory realization that Wednesday will be my first Italian oral exam. Yikes! I cannot say that I am completely prepared for that. I barely like to say too much in English. Needless to say, I did almost nothing this weekend. That was also helped by the fact that one of my friends was away for the weekend and another's family was visiting. So I flew solo in my pajama's just doing some housekeeping and doing work.

But good news...it's Valentine's week! Now, as a single lady myself I can understand why some of you might have cringed when reading that last sentence. But V-Day can still be for us as well! Is there really a rule that says you can't celebrate with someone if they aren't your romantic interest? Over the next few days I will present you with some fun, worry free ways to spend your Valentine's Day solo or with the girls! Sorry this is so brief. After a long, stressful day I think I am going to do my dishes and chill out with a movie...I deserve it!

Date Night Dress: Valentine's Day Edition

Good evening, everyone!

Today was definitely a slow kind of day. But I must say, despite the overall dreary, cloudy appearance it was a relatively nice day to be outside. I was able to make a quick run to the gym and I am working on slowly getting all of my assignments for tomorrow done. Can I just say that all of these assignments are for ONE class! Anyway, although this might be coming slightly early, I thought that I would get the Valentine's Day fashion post out of the way while I had the time to work on it.

I put together three Valentine's Day inspired looks that range from fairly casual to fairly dressed up.

Sorry that this is a relatively short one today. As of now I am still swamped with trying to put these writing assignments together! I hope you have a great night!
