RadioChumps, a local digital lifestyle magazine is celebrating its second anniversary! Well, unfortunately someone has to say it...Christmas is over! It kind of came up on me this year and now all of a sudden it's over. However, it was a great day with family--also my brother's birthday! Anyway, on to our next big adventure: closing a great year and welcoming in another! Sadly, I will be working on New Year's Eve, but many of you won't and will be enjoying yourselves with friends at NYE parties. When I think of New Year's, I think of sparkles, sequins and glitter; it just seems like that kind of night, right? Pretty Living has put together a collection of shoes that definitely pull together an outfit making it the quintessential NYE look; a few you may recognize from Shoe Diva Boutique which I wrote about in this post.

Fashion and Fantasy

Fall is bringing some fun times to Pittsburgh as Pretty Living PR is presenting it's F/W magazine issue Fashion and Fantasy. The magazine launch party will be held November 5th at Perle in Market Square, located in downtown Pittsburgh. The evening will be filled with lots of fun, fashion and local celebrity, many of which are featured in this new issue! A portion proceeds from the party will be donated to Pittsburgh's Make A Wish foundation.

Weekend Wrap-Up: Homecoming

Happy Monday everybody! 

I'd say that this weekend was definitely a well deserved break that was used for both relaxation and productivity. I spent the last weekend of September surrounded by friends and fun. Friday night we went downtown for my friend's birthday dinner--we went to Cafe Milano instead of Burgatory like I said before--which was delicious! I will go ahead and recommend the baked ziti. It did take awhile for our food to get to us, but I imagine that was due to the fact that there was a festival/bridge party that night on the Roberto Clemente bridge and everyone and their mother was getting dinner at the same time as us. There was also some excitement for the huge rubber duck that is laying anchor in Pittsburgh for the next 3 weeks. Aside from that, the weekend was spent celebrating homecoming and our victory against University of Virginia!

Weekend Wrap-Up: Summer Start-Up

Happy Monday, folks; and a happy first day of July! July is always my favorite month of the year not only because of my birthday but because July feels like the definitive summer month to me. June is nice but summer doesn't officially start until the end and August is a close runner up but school starts at the end so it's really not a complete summer month. So in my mind, July = summer. Believe me...this sounded even more intellectual when I made this mental assertion in the 5th grade. 

Anyway, this weekend was a laidback but eventful one as well; a good way to start the summer. Friday after I got off work I did some self-justified, well-deserved shopping. I certainly didn't get too crazy, but I did manage to find some really nice pieces for the beach. On Saturday the whole beach crew got together this weekend to discuss the finer points of the trip (read: food) and have a little evening cook out. So now that's pretty much all planned; all we need to do now is load ourselves in to the car and GO! GO! GO! On Sunday we went to a picnic that is hosted every year by some friends of ours which was very nice considering the rain that probably should've happened but ended up going clear around us. This kicks off a very short work week for me and of course 4th of July. I plan on this being a very good week. :)
