Since the weather has been getting so nice, I have been dreaming about all things summer. Dresses, swimsuits, bright jewelry and of course (if you know me at all) shoes! Not that I need need, can afford, or have any room to store them I have been browsing summer footwear like it is my job. Four Favorites: Easter

Does anyone else get as excited about Easter as I do? I mean, I am definitely not excited on the level that I was when I was younger--Easter egg hunts can get a kid seriously amped. But I do love the spring-y things that we typically see on Easter. Pastel colors, flowers, dresses, and colorful eggs all make me absolutely swoon on Easter Sunday. It also marks the end of Lent, which means we can once again indulge in all that we have given up over the past 40 days. Keep an eye on your ice cream and donuts if you do not want me to take them!

Well, unfortunately someone has to say it...Christmas is over! It kind of came up on me this year and now all of a sudden it's over. However, it was a great day with family--also my brother's birthday! Anyway, on to our next big adventure: closing a great year and welcoming in another! Sadly, I will be working on New Year's Eve, but many of you won't and will be enjoying yourselves with friends at NYE parties. When I think of New Year's, I think of sparkles, sequins and glitter; it just seems like that kind of night, right? Pretty Living has put together a collection of shoes that definitely pull together an outfit making it the quintessential NYE look; a few you may recognize from Shoe Diva Boutique which I wrote about in this post. 

 My personal favorites are the Vogue booties by She Palace  (2) and the Gold Pumps by SCHEE Footwear (4).

TGIF Pins

Long time, no pin! How many times since September have I let my once weekly blog post fall off? I guess I figured that since it was a simple post just about what I had been pinning that week I didn't find it too important. But that's silly! Going back to older TGIF posts I have seen that this is the post that I get the most interaction from my readers on; and of course it gives me the excuse throughout the week to take a break from my work and studies to spend and hour on Pinterest. I do miss doing TGIF posts more frequently and as part of my blogging resolution--more on that next week!--I am promising myself to work harder on trying to make them more frequent...starting this week. :) Here you go!

Hey all! Can I just go on record for a minute and say that I have already lost my mind due to finals. Seriously...I'm going a little crazy. As of last night I cannot even focus--the Disney sing-a-long that occurred in our room last night was proof of that. It was a nice little stress reliever though (if you ever find yourself crazy stressed, belting "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas helps!) Today's a new day and I have exactly one week until my first finals. I just need to organize my mind and develop some solid study habits. Time to prioritize!

Anyway, with Christmas coming up I'm sure I'm not the only one searching high and low for the perfect gifts. Above are just a few ideas for the lovely ladies in your life. I for one am a huge fan of the jewelry! You may recognize #2 from Vienna Victoria from this post here. That's still on my own wishlist!

"It's Like...Shoe Art!"

 Quick, everyone! What movie is title quote from?! ...P.S. I Love You! If you got it correct, I'm sorry but I have nothing to offer you except a virtual pat on the back and my approval. If there's one thing I love in this world (beside that movie, of course!) it's shoes. If you were to ask anyone who has seen the inside of my closet they would probably tell you that I have way too many; I, however, would say that I can always use more shoes! But that's just me...

ShoeDIVA Boutique recently launched here in Pittsburgh and I already have the website in my bookmarks. From what I have seen, one thing you can expect from this brand is one-of-a-kind designs. If I plan to make a statement, I typically do so with accessories and these shoes will definitely help to make a statement. ShoeDIVA was founded by Janelle Cutler who has stated that her own shoe fetish and sense of style makes her qualified to offer quality and one-of-a-kind shoes to the divas in this world; who can argue with that logic?! In the future, she hopes to take ShoeDIVA from an online shopping experience to storefront.

For those of you in the Pittsburgh area, on Sunday November 24 there will be a launch party hosted at Windy's Boutique in the SouthSide area (one of my favorites in Pittsburgh!) from 2-6pm. You can go ahead and browse the website for shoes and other small accessories here.

November Favorites

Not to start off on a crappy note, but boy does my back hurt!! I was woken up at 3 AM by an awful pain in the area of my left shoulder blade and was only able to to muster as mere 4 hours of sleep last night. I don't know what I did to mess up my shoulder. So in the chance you were run into me today, don't mind my less than friendly behavior...it's not you, it's definitely me.

Anyway, it's Wednesday which means it's time for my favorite link up with Ashlynn at Let It Be Beautiful and Kristen at Fancy Things. This weeks theme for Four Favorites is November Favorites! There's a lot to love when it comes to November and the season in general:

1. M.A.C. lipstick in Rebel! If the month was a color it would be this one. I love how deep the color is and how it pretty much would go with everything I wear during the fall.

2. Those flats up there are an obsession of mine and I must track them down! You know how I feel about leopard and leather: I am a full supporter!!

3. Hats in November and fall are a must as well! I love the hat above as well as beanies and cloches. 

4. All sugary and caffeinated beverages! I am pretty sure that during this month I am paying Starbucks' electric bill. Also, yesterday I ventured into Peet's and tried their Cinnamon Gingerbread Latte...yum! I will probably be frequenting that establishment as well.

Ooh is it the weekend yet? I am ready for at least one relaxing day! However, Halloween is tomorrow so there is some excitement during the week. Seriously...this is like an early Christmas for me; I love Halloween! With this spooky day coming up, this week's Four Favorites link-up seems fairly appropriate: favorite black items. I really don't think there are any cuter items out there than the ones I have selected above. Like that bag? The bow is adorable, right?! And the ghost sweater--who doesn't love ghost sweaters?! Anyway, I am going to keep this one short today due to my continued excess of class readings. Enjoy your night and I hope you have a spooktacular Halloween!

Help A Sister Out?

Well that was quite the break! I recognize the fact that we are 14 days into October and I have a grand total of like 5-6 posts up. But this is midterm season and I have an exam TOMORROW! This entire weekend has consisted of me sitting at a table with all books open trying to make sense of the French Revolution while taking study breaks to watch football with everyone else on the floor. Anyway things are starting to come together and a feeling of preparedness is starting to come over me, so I thought I would slip in a little blog post before recommencing the study session.

I actually would really love your opinion on something! I am looking on some fashion advice. Sweater weather and boot season is upon us and I have one pair of boots that is giving me some trouble. I bought a pair of white boots from Charlotte Russe a year or two ago and I still don't know what I am going to wear them with! But I have to wear them, you know? They look like the boot pictured above. So what would one wear with white boots? What color top? Dark wash jeans? I don't know!

Well we all know how hectic this week has been; TGIF has never been more appropriate. This weekend though is going to be a good one! Tonight we are a taking a friend out for her birthday dinner at a restaurant called Burgatory--any Pittsburgh readers that can give me the scoop on this place? Then hopefully we will be back in time for the homecoming laser and lights show and the rest of the night will be spent hanging out with the birthday girl! Tomorrow is the homecoming game against UVa at 12:30 which, hopefully, we will dominate! The rest of the weekend will be relaxation and a bit of a lull in the school work which I will not complain about. In spirit of Friday, here are my favorite pins from this week!
